FERTIMANURE organises Brainstorming Sessions

FERTIMANURE organises Brainstorming Sessions
13/10/2022

One of the undertakings of the  FERTIMANURE project is the organisation of 2 brainstorming sessions in each of the partner countries to better understand the ever-changing business environment around bio-based value chains and products.

Since October 2021 Brainstorming sessions have been held in France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Croatia, Argentina, and Germany with a total of 314 participants taking part from different sectors.

Most were agricultural producers, followed by fertiliser processors or members of the chemical industry. The various partners presented the FERTIMANURE project, its objectives, the applied technologies, and the final products resulting from the project and the new Fertiliser Product Regulation.

The brainstorming sessions also  involved the completion of a specially designed questionnaire and a SWOT analysis regarding bio-based fertilisers with the aim of obtaining a better insight into their quality and marketing. As part of the brainstorming session, the partners also explained to the participants the business model canvas and its importance.

Three elements of the business model (value proposition, key resources, customer relationship) were described in more detail and questions were elaborated, to which the participants gave relevant answers based on their previous experience and knowledge.

The results of the brainstorming sessions will be of great importance for the development of strong business plans that will maximise strengths and opportunities on the one hand, and avoid threats and weaknesses that come from competition for the production of bio-based/mineral fertilisers and/or within the new product development process on the other.
